Her journey of excellence began at Abhinav Vidyalay and culminated in her earning MBBS and MD degrees from the esteemed BJ Medical College and Sassoon Hospital. Her unwavering commitment to excellence led her to pursue a DNB Neurology under the mentorship of the renowned Dr. GM Taori in Nagpur.

However, Dr. Poornima’s influence transcends the boundaries of traditional medicine. She is a true Social Engineer, captivating hearts through groundbreaking projects focused on Emotional Wellness. These noble endeavours are championed by her section 8 NPO/ NGO, NICHE Advocacy Foundation, where she tirelessly paints vibrant strokes of positivity onto the canvas of people’s lives, empowering them to embrace their emotional well-being.

  • Guest Faculty for ‘Applied Neurology for Geriatric Nursing’ in ‘Diploma Course in  Healthcare Assistance (Geriatric care)’ conducted by Ambedkar College affiliated to  Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, for the period from 2015-16  to 2018-19. 
  • June 2010 to January 2015: Assistant Professor in Medicine at NKPSIMS and Re search Center and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Nagpur. Trained MD Medicine and MD  Psychiatry students.  
  • January 2007 to February 2010: Coordinator and Teacher for NNS (Nagpur Neuro  Society) Neurology Lecture series by Dr. Mukund Baheti, held during January and  February for MBBS students in and around Nagpur in collaboration with IMA, Nagpur.  Course was attended by 5 colleges in and around Nagpur with an average attendance of  450 students per lecture.  
  • August 2007 to September 2009: Sr. Research Consultant Neurologist, CIIMS, Nag pur: Bedside Thursday-clinic and Grand Rounds: teaching sessions for students and  junior doctors, including students registered for DNB in Internal Medicine, Neurology,  Neurosurgery in CIIMS – 2007-2009
